About the Practictioners

Cindy Yixin Zhang, R.Ac, R.TCMP

Cindy graduated from the Beijing Medical College, Beijing, China in 1982. She practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Inner Mongolia General Hospital for 11 years. In 1995 she joined The Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and worked at an Acupuncture Clinic in Guelph, Ontario. Cindy has been practicing Chinese medicine in Burlington since 1997.

Cindy benefited from acupuncture and herbal remedies in 1986, when she suffered from heart disease at a young age due to the intensive and demanding work schedule of a resident Doctor. She had to temporarily leave the profession she loved very much. At this time, she was desperate to regain her good health and turned to Chinese medicine and Qi-Gong exercises. Beyond her expectations, in a few months she was well enough to return to her profession.

Her personal recovery journey inspired Cindy to study Traditional Chinese Medical Philosophy. Understanding the importance of prevention and natural healing she further researched and studied Qi Gong, Nutrition, Iridology, Light Therapy, Reiki etc. and has now combined all of these modalities into her practice. Cindy offers self healing workshops to the public.
